HMD is headquartered in Espoo and is best known for Nokia-branded phones, alongside newer HMD-branded devices. HMD has an official European manufacturing line for an enterprise version of the Nokia XR21.
It is not a values-first brand in the Fairphone sense; it is a more mainstream choice, shaped by scale and a security focus, based in Europe with some manufacturing in Europe for selected devices.
