Choosing Europe is a small project about the things we choose every day: the films we watch, the music we play, the books we read and the tools we use.
Most of them come from outside Europe, and that is simply how things are today. But Europe keeps making wonderful things, and many of them never reach us because nobody talks about them. We would like to change that, one pick at a time.
What we do
Every weekday we publish one recommendation here: a film, a series, an album, a podcast, a book or a product made in Europe. On Saturday, all five arrive together in our newsletter.
How we choose
We only share things we really like and that are easy to enjoy: a film you can watch tonight, an album for your way to work, an app that simply works. If something is on this site, it is because we think it is good, not only because it is European.
What we are not
We are not here to tell anyone what to buy or what to boycott. If a European option is just as good as the one you already use, maybe give it a try. If not, no problem at all.
Choosing Europe is free, and it will stay free.
